FISH FEEDING

Fish food is available in either a floating or sinking form.  The most common type used is the floating form. Fish should be fed once a day, at least six days per week.  A good fish food will have a protein value between 26% and 36%.  The higher the protein the faster the fish will grow.  Most common protein value is 32%.  When feeding fish the following factors should be                taken into consideration:

Water temperature should be between 65 and 85 degrees, and not above 90 degrees. Do not feed when water temperature is above 90 degrees.

Only feed the amount of food that the fish can eat in a 10 to 15 minute period. It is recommended that feeding be done at the same time and location each day. Suggested feeding time is either early morning or late afternoon, not during the heat of the day.
